Three Situations to Pay Attention To (Because Five Just Makes This Column Too Damn Long) Denver Earl Watson was one of my favorite guys to write about when doing this column last year. The Memphis rotation prevented him from having consistent fantasy value, but whenever Jason Williams was out,... Link
Memphis Grizzlies guard Damon Stoudamire was held out of Saturday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks with an ankle injury. Stoudamire turned his left ankle during Memphis' loss at Cleveland on Friday night, but was able to continue playing. The injury was not believed to be serious, and he... Link
1 to 30 31 to 60 This is where things start to get tricky. In the first four or five rounds, you have to take the best player available. There is a limited number of true impact players, and the more you can get your hands on, the better.... Link
Oregonian columnist John Canzano caught up with ex-Blazer and new Grizzlie Damon Stoudamire. Stoudamire makes it clear he's not enthusiastic about the Portland overhaul. He says the team's window for success closed with Los Angeles' big comeback in the western...... Link
Lots of names, but not a lot of fantasy help. So it’s been in Memphis for the past few years, and it doesn’t seem like things will be much different this year. While the cast has changed, the story remains the same, with very few players that you can... Link
Jerry West made it clear Monday what he expects to gain from shaking up the Memphis Grizzlies lineup. ``We want to win some playoff games,'' West said as he welcomed Eddie Jones, Bobby Jackson and Damon Stoudamire to Memphis. The three NBA veterans join the Grizzlies in the team's... Link
Bonzi Wells didn't work out so well, so they're trying Damon Stoudamire. Today the Grizzlies announced they have signed Stoudamire to a four-year contract. Memphis Grizzlies President Jerry West says he expects Mighty Mouse to take the team to a...... Link
Guard Damon Stoudamire on Friday signed a four-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, who traded Jason Williams and Bonzi Wells earlier this week. The 10-year veteran spent the past eight seasons in Portland. He is coming off his best season with the Trail Blazers, averaging 15.8 points and 5.7... Link
You would think that the Houston Chronicle was a credible source, but I can not find a single sliver of confirmation that Damon Stoudamire has indeed signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. Not ESPN, not Yahoo, not nba.com, not CNNSI, not a Memphis paper, nothing. Nada. So hey, maybe the... Link
The Griz have negotiated with Damon Stoudamire, who played with Portland last season. But no deal had been finalized as of late Monday. Last weekend, Stoudamire shot down a Houston Chronicle report that said he agreed to sign a four-year,...... Link
Although Damon Stoudamire is atop the Grizzlies' wish list, Jerry West downplayed a Houston Chronicle report that the Griz and Stoudamire have agreed on a four-year, $17 million contract. "We have interest," West said Saturday. "We're exploring a lot of...... Link
Danny has mentioned adding a point guard to our roster. Which makes it the 20th consecutive year (give or take) that its been one of the team's top offseason priorities. So you'll excuse me if I'm not sold that we'll find the next Jason Kidd this summer. Still, it... Link
The New York Knicks are one of the many choices that Damon Stoudamire will have this summer. I hate to see Damon go and believe the Blazers would be very foolish to not try and keep him. However, the Blazers seem pretty intent on running our veterans out of... Link
Damon is going to have a lot of choices before him this summer. One of them appears to be playing for the Knicks. I hate to think of Damon leaving but I certainly don't blame him for wanting as far from Portland as he can get. I hope he... Link
If Jeff McInnis doesn't re-sign this summer, don't be surprised if the Cavaliers take some interest in Blazers guard Damon Stoudamire. He doesn't appear likely to return to Portland now that new coach Kevin Pritchard is starting rookie Sebastian Telfair...... Link
Ah, the frustrations of fantasy basketball. Two players who I ve been begging to get more playing time finally get put into situations where they are going to see that time and I miss out on both of them. Bah. Lots and lots of post-deadline PG situations to look... Link
Trade rumors continue to swirl around these teams heading into tonight s game. I have yet to see a source I trust say there is something going to happen for sure with the Lakers, although it does appear Mitch K. is working the phones hard. One rumor getting a... Link
Not too much to cover with the short week, but here s the rundown nonetheless. The entire Atlantic division is pretty ho-hum when it comes to point guards. You know what to expect from Gary Payton, Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, Rafer Alston and Stephon Marbury. I can t see... Link
I know it s not always right to assume, but I m going to do that for a second and take a guess that most people reading this are east coast dwellers. I base that on nothing, but I ll say it anyway. And as I ve said before... Link
You just can't bury this guy can you? He's hand picked by Danny in the draft, but can't break O'Brien's rotation. O'Brien leaves and Banks has a new shot. Then we trade for Atkins who sparks a win streak, but Banks remains the main long-term option at point. Danny... Link

Over the weekend, the pieces of the Laker puzzle began to take shape...on Friday, Phil Jackson confirmed what many suspected, that he would not return to the team for 2004-2005. The Lakers quickly reacted--contacting Rudy Tomjanovich about the newly-vacated head coach position. But the BIG, backboard-shattering news was that Shaquille O'Neal was demanding a trade, which, if consumated, would be certain to be one of, if not the biggest trade in NBA history. Who could/would take Shaq's $27 mil salary, while also giving the Lakers enough in return? ESPN's Chad Ford and David Aldridge have some possible scenarios....here are a few of the more intriguing and/or plausible:
SCENARIO 1:
DALLAS DIESEL -- Shaq goes to Dallas for Dirk Nowitzki and Antoine Walker
SCENARIO 2:
SHAQRAMENTO -- Shaq to the Kings for Chris Webber, Brad Miller, Bobby Jackson, and Anthony Peeler
SCENARIO 3:
THE BIG HOOSIER -- Shaq & Derek Fisher to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal, Al Harrington, Austin Croshere and Scot Pollard
SCENARIO 4:
THE WEST REUNION -- Shaq to Memphis for Pau Gasol, Bonzi Wells (or James Posey), Lorenzen Wright and Bo Outlaw
SCENARIO 5:
THE DADDY AND THE KID -- Shaq & Luke Walton to Cleveland for Carlos Boozer, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Tony Battie, Kedrick Brown, DeSagana Diop and Ira Newble
SCENARIO 6:
THE DADDY AND THE KIDD -- Shaq to New Jersey for Kenyon Martin, Kerry Kittles, and Rodney Rogers
SCENARIO 7:
THE JAILBLAZER ALTERNATIVE -- Shaq to Portland for some combo of Zach Randolph or Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Derek Anderson or Damon Stoudamire, Theo Ratliff or Dale Davis, and a draft pick
