Kirilenko stays on the block

Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko who last season became the first non-center to lead the NBA in blocked shots per game is trying for a repeat. Kirilenko 6-9 was No. 2 going into Tuesday's games despite missing 10 contests because of injuries. He has blocked at least one shot in each of the 25 games he has played and has four or more in nine games. He had a season-high eight blocks against Portland on Dec. 14. Kirilenko talked with USA TODAY NBA reporter Roscoe Nance about the art of blocking shots. Link
