Pacers to Face Nets, Heat or Pistons

Read More: Detroit Pistons , Indiana Pacers , Miami Heat , New Jersey Nets

In the INDIANAPOLIS STAR, Mike Wells writes that "five months ago, who would have thought that the Indiana Pacers would be battling to avoid the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the playoffs?" The Pacers figured they'd be pushing the "Pistons for the Central Division title and priming for a run to the NBA Finals. Instead, they are entrenched in a numbers game in which they could finish as the sixth, seventh or eighth seed in the East playoff race. Their first-round opponent won't be determined until later tonight, but they know it's one of three teams: New Jersey, Miami or Detroit." Link
